The new Netflix original movie, The Discovery, will be available to subscribers of the platform on March 31, 2017, and the first trailer makes us think the story could be one of the most interesting releases of the year.
The trailer, launched on January 18, shows the main cast of the film, directed by Charlie McDowell (The One I Love, Silicon Valley) featuring Rooney Mara, Jason Segel, and Robert Redford. The film becomes part of the increasingly long list of original features of Netflix and it is a love story set in a world completely different to the one we know.
Dr. Thomas Harbor, who plays the veteran Robert Redford, has made a major discovery which has revolutionized the way of conceiving life: he scientifically demonstrates there is life beyond death. However, this great finding gives rise to a wave of suicides of those trying to reach the afterlife. In this set, Toby (Jason Segel), son of the scientist, falls madly in love with Isla (Rooney Mara), a woman whose life is marked by a tragic past.
To complete the cast, we will see actors Jesse Plemons, Riley Keough (Mad Max), Ron Canada (Ted 2) and Kimleigh Smith (Word Games).
Netflix manager Ted Sarandos was delighted with the film at the time of its acquisition last summer, he stated: “Our global viewers are going to love this movie.”

“One year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified, millions around the world have ended their own lives in order to “get there”. A man and woman fall in love while coming to terms with their own tragic pasts and the true nature of the afterlife. Coming to Netflix March 31.”
Taking your own life is just creating more hindrances and sad tragic traumas to your next life. You must do the very best you can in every moment that you are conscious in. Reaching heaven is not as simple as just killing yourself. If more people would stop neglecting spiritual beliefs and study about it, then, you would have learned the answers and rules to it all already. Spiritual ignorance is the reason you feel so lost and empty- you have it right there, but you choose to deny it. So long as you continue to neglect yourself like this, the pain will only be prolonged. You need to wake up from your one path, and open up your perspective. Only then, will you see so much more.
